【摘要】:Designcalculationsforradiofrequency(RF),microwaveandmillimetre-wavecomponentsrequiretheknowledgeofvaluesofcomplexpermittivityandpermeabilityatoperatingfrequencies.Thistestmethodisusefulforevaluatingsmallexperimentalbatchorcontinuousproductionmaterialsusedinelectromagneticapplications.Usethismethodtodeterminecomplexpermittivityonly(innon-magneticmaterials)orbothcomplexpermittivityandpermeabilitysimultaneously.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingrelativecomplexpermittivity(relativedielectricconstantandloss)andrelativemagneticpermeabilityofisotropic,reciprocal(non-gyromagnetic)solidmaterials.Ifthematerialisnonmagnetic,itisacceptabletousethisproceduretomeasurepermittivityonly.1.2Thismeasurementmethodisvalidoverafrequencyrangeofapproximately100MHztoover20GHz.Theselimitsarenotexactanddependonthesizeofthespecimen,thesizeofrectangularwaveguidetransmissionlineusedasaspecimenholder,andontheapplicablefrequencyrangeofthenetworkanalyzerusedtomakemeasurements.Thepracticallowerandupperfrequenciesarelimitedbyspecimendimensionrequirements(largespecimensatlowfrequenciesandsmallspecimensathighfrequencies).Beinganon-resonantmethod,theselectionofanynumberofdiscretemeasurementfrequenciesinameasurementbandwouldbesuitable.Useofmultiplerectangularwaveguidetransmissionlinesizesarerequiredtocoverthisentirefrequencyrange(100MHzto20GHz).Thistestmethodcanalsobegenerallyappliedtocircularwaveguidetestfixtures.Therectangularwaveguidefixtureispreferredovercoaxialfixtureswhensampleshavein-planeanisotropyoraredifficulttomanufactureprecisely.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesareinEnglishunits.Theequationsshownhereassumeane+jx03C9;tharmonictimeconvention.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
