【摘要】:Thispracticeisintendedtoserveasaguidefordeterminingspecificinspectionrequirementsformarinesurfacepreparationandcoatingapplicationduringnewconstruction,majorretrofit,orroutinemaintenancecontracts.Itisintendedthatthispracticebeusedtocoordinateinspectionactivitiesbetweenshipowner,shipbuilder,coatingsmanufacturerandcoatingsapplicator,andthatspecificrequirementsbedevelopedbeforethecommencementofsurfacepreparationorcoatingapplication,orboth.Thispracticedoesnotprovideameansofrecordingrequireddata(forexample,filmthicknesses,temperatures,relativehumidity,andsoforth),butinsteadestablishesaformatfordecidingwhatdatamustberecorded,whenduringthepreparation/coatingprocess,andbywhom.Thispracticedoesnotestablishaccept/rejectcriteriaforsurfacepreparationorcoatinginspection,nordoesitaddressmethodsofrepairingdeficienciesfound.Itdoes,however,provideameansofdeterminingthem.Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
