【摘要】:Thespeechprivacybetweenlocationsinanopenplanspaceisdeterminedbythedegreetowhichintrudingspeechsoundsexceedtheambientsoundpressurelevelsatthelistener''sear;aclassicsignal-to-noiseratiosituation.Thesoundpressurelevelsatthelistener''searfromintrudingspeechdependupon:Theindividualvocaleffortandorientationofthetalker,Theattenuationofspeechsignalsduetodistanceorinterveningbarriers,andThereinforcementofspeechsignalsduetoreflectionsfromsurfacessuchastheceiling,furniturepanels,lightfixtures,walls,orwindows.Theambientsoundpressurelevelswilloftenbecontrolledtomaskintrudingspeech.Thisisaccomplishedbymeansofamaskingsoundsystem.However,incertainpositionsandfrequencyranges,heating,ventilating,orairconditioningequipment(HVAC)maycontributesignificantlytoambientsoundpressurelevels.TheprimarypurposeofthistestmethodistomeasurethespeechprivacyforanaveragespeechspectrumusingthestandardArticulationIndexmethod.Thisrequiresmeasurementoftherelevantacousticalcharacteristicsdiscussedin5.2and5.3forapairoflocationsandcalculationoftheArticulationIndexusinganaveragespeechspectrum.Theaveragespeechspectrumisformaletalkersspeakingwithnormalvoiceeffort.TheArticulationIndexrangesfrom0.00,wherespeechisunintelligible,to1.00,whereallindividualspokenwordscanbeunderstood.Cautionshouldbeexercisedininterpretingthenumericalresultsofthistestmethod.ThereisaneedforfurtherresearchtoestablishtherelationshipofArticulationIndextospeechprivacy.Onepurposeofthistestmethodistoencouragethemeasurementofdataandfurtherresearchonthistopicperhapsleadingtodevelopmentofwell-documentedspeechprivacycategoriesandcriteria.Thistestmethodcanbeusedto:Comparetherelativeprivacyaffordedbetweendifferentlocationswithinopenplanspaces.Evaluatehowchangesinopenplancomponents(barriers,furniture,ceilings,maskingsound,orwallpanels)affectspeechprivacy.Measurespeechprivacyobjectivelyforcorrelationwithsubjectiveresponses.Thistestmethodcouldbeoneelementofaperformanceoracceptancetestprocedure.However,manyadditionalitemswouldneedtobespecifiedtousethistestmethodforperformancetestingofanopenplanenvironment,suchas,thenumberoflocationstobetestedandmethodofselectingthoselocations,andthemethodofaveragingtheresults.SpecifyinganumericalcriterionintermsoftheArticulationIndexisalsonecessaryforacceptancetesting;however,theselectionofsuchacriterionandpermissibledeviationsshouldbeundertakenwithcareinviewofthepresentstate-of-the-artasdiscussedin5.5.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesameansofmeasuringspeechprivacyobjectivelybetweenlocationsinopenplanspaces.Thistestmethodreliesuponacousticalmeasurements,publishedinformationonspeechlevels,andstandardmethodsforassessingspeechcommunication.Thistestmethoddoesnotmeasuretheperformanceofindividualopenplancomponentswhichaffectspeechprivacy;itmeasurestheprivacywhichresultsfromaparticularconfigurationofcomponents(1,2).1.2Thistestmethodisintendedtobeafieldtestforthemeasurementofspeechprivacyinactualopenplanspaces.However,thistestmethodcouldbeusedinanenvironmentarrangedtosimulateanopenplanspace.1.3Thistestmethodissuitableforuseinmanyopenplanspacessuchasopenplanoffices,healthcarespaces,institutionalspaces,schools,etc.Itisnotapplicableformeasuringthespeechprivacybetweenopenplanandenclosedspacesorbetweenfullyenclo......
